The first Sunday of every month, the Deacon will offer the laying on of hands and annointing at the side altar.
Pastoral and Spiritual Care
Aside from the big milestone events in you life, there are often times and life situations which require special pastoral and spiritual care. The parish priest is available to the members of the parish at such times to provide the necessary help and care.
Reconciliation of the Penitent (Confession)
When you feel particularly remorse for some wrong doing, you may need to unload the burden in confidence, ask for guidance in what to do and seek ways for reconciliation. Reconciliation of a Penitent is the rite in which those who repent of their sins may confess them to God in the presence of a priest, and receive the assurance of pardon and the grace of absolution. This pastoral blessing is available by appointment with the priest.
Spiritual Counseling and Spiritual Direction
Christians are encouraged to pay attention to their spiritual health and be disciplined in their own spiritual life with regular worship, prayer and study of Scripture. At times and in certain situations in life, you may feel confused or lost and need someone to talk things through. For any need of spiritual counseling and spiritual direction, the parish priest is available by appointment.
Eucharistic Visitation
The clergy and a team of Lay Eucharistic Visitors are available to bring Holy Communion to the members of the parish who are sick or homebound. Please call the parish office if you are hospitalized or homebound and unable to come to the church for a lengthy period.
Unction of the Sick
Unction is the rite of anointing the sick with holy oil, or the laying on of hands, by which God’s grace is given for the healing of spirit, mind, and body. This is a pastoral care available to the members of the parish who are hospitalized or sick with greave illness. Please notify the parish priest in case of illness. |
